The personal papers of Nnamdi Azikiwe have been held at his home in Nsukka, Nigeria, since his passing in 1996. This website represents the collective efforts of the Azikiwe family as well as researchers in Nigeria, the United States, and the United Kingdom to preserve and promote his legacy of Nigerian freedom and democracy, pan-African liberation, and social justice.

The first section of Pres. Azikiwe’s papers have been digitised and hosted online by the University of California-Los Angeles through the support of a Modern Endangered Archives Program grant, which ran from 2022-2024
